The Restore Focus Approach:
Restorative Family Mediators join students, parents, and their schools to address struggles they may be experiencing. We bring FOCUS by helping to identify problem areas, removing barriers, setting goals and restoring hope. Together, we sit on the bench of life. We help teens ages 12-18 and their parents or caregivers navigate whatever might be standing in the way of reaching their fullest potential.

WHO WE SERVE:
We provide direct truancy prevention programming alongside our partner counties and school districts across Minnesota.
Schools and and their support staff can submit a truancy prevention referral. Parents or county offices of our partner schools can also submit a referral for their student.

Over 70% of referred students show improvement
Parent Plan: Parents must attend the meetings and also have access to 4 weeks of online leadership coaching at no cost to them.
Students who have missed more than 3 full unexcused days of school are considered at risk for a truancy referral.
Preventative actions provide a student and their family with 1:1 support to identify hurdles and create individualized plans to create new habits and remove barriers for sustainable change.
Together we will sit on the bench of life and talk through struggles. Students come away
from each meeting
feeling uplifted,
encourated and loved.
